Appreciation for
health is boundless!

We improve the lives we touch through extraordinary care and compassion.

My mom was cared for at Grande Prairie Rehab, and they did a great job caring for her. She even came out of her shell more as she was there and saw that the staff cared about helping her to get stronger. She really liked the therapy room and staff. They helped her to get strong and come home again after her hospital stay. Good food choices …, so much better than a lot of places!

Grande Prairie is a great place to work. We love our residents, and we are focused on their care and happiness. From an outsider’s point-of-view, we may look busy or uninterested, but every person puts in 110%. Skilled nursing is no joke. We do not have a “lazy” staff member on board. Everyone works extremely hard.

My mom has bone cancer. She was admitted to Grande Prairie to rehabilitate and get strong enough to return home. I can’t say enough good things about the place. The nurses are very kind and caring. I think the lower ratings by some people on this site are due to the fact that there aren’t enough nurses at times. But, the longer we stayed there, the more we realized that even though the staff was busy they always had time for my mom. Also, the rehab PTs and OTs are outstanding. They gave her therapy six days a week, and she came out happier and much improved. I would definitely recommend his place. When you first come in, it does have a nursing home look to it. The food is not great. But, the care and the therapy, which are why you’re there, are really top-notch.

I had outpatient therapy at Grande Prairie and had a wonderful experience!!! The entire staff was very friendly and very accommodating!!! I noticed that the building did not smell as a lot of other buildings do; there were no urine or fecal smells!!! I had therapy here for roughly five months due to knee surgery. Not ever did I have an issue with any staff member. These people are hard working and caring people!!! People should try to understand that this is not an easy job working in healthcare!!! It is a thankless job!!! We should be praising the work that they do … we would not be able to take care of our loved ones at home. At least, have people who care and try to help. I have recommended family members and friends to Grande Prairie, and they have not had any issues, as well!!! Thanks, Grande Prairie, for your help, and thanks to the nurses, aides and, most of all, the therapy department!!! Special thanks to Melinda, Kim, Mikki, Matt and Chris!!!

Great place to work and live. I have friends who are nurses there, and they love the place. Always clean, and everyone looks happy. My work takes me in and out of many nursing homes, and this place keeps getting better on each visit. Check it out for yourself.

Caring Relationships Resonate!

The close relationships forged between staff and family at Grande Prairie Care and Rehab are authentic. That’s why so many of the individuals who have gotten better under our care keep up with us. Many share their family milestones, send us photos of their loved ones, call our staff members on their birthdays—or just send us their best holiday wishes.
